Hello, my name is Andrew.

I write for people who crave a deeper relationship with God, but might not know where to start. I want to give you the tools you need to bring more clarity to your faith, and more intimacy with your Creator.

I’m no theologian. I didn’t go to seminary. I don’t have a degree in divinity. In fact, I flunked out of Bible college my freshman year. (Don’t ask. I’m still mad about that one.) What I do have is a passion for the Word of God, a degree in English from the University of Oklahoma, and a love for writing.

I’ve read the Bible cover to cover five times, including once when I finished both Testaments in ninety days. That process started me on a journey of reclaiming my faith and walking more purposefully with God. My hope is that I can help you do the same. I’ve also written four books, and you can read more about them here.

But perhaps my most impressive credential (if you can call it that) is when my wife Katie and I answered the call to become foster parents. Raising strangers’ children is by far the most difficult thing either of us has ever undertaken, but for every tear there have been twice as many blessings from the Lord.

When I’m not writing delicious blog posts or enlightening books you’ll likely find me on the trampoline with my four kids, building with Legos, or behind the stove cooking up an irresistible omelet.

If you’re dying to know more, here are a couple of things you don’t know about me:

- I’m a sucker for all things barbecue. (If you’re ever in Kansas City, don’t skip a trip to Oklahoma Joe’s.)
- I love terrible movies. Two of my favorites: Troll 2 and Laser Mission.
- I will dominate you in just about any board game you put in front of me.
