Want Wisdom? Do This One Simple Thing

I have always held wisdom in high regard.

I ask God for it almost every day. I desire it; I seek it out.

So I was thrilled when I came across a simple way to be assured of gaining wisdom.

Solomon, the author of Proverbs, was the wisest man who ever lived. He knew a thing or two about the subject.

It is in this book that he details how obtain wisdom:

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. 11:2

Be humble.

That's it. (I said it was simple, not easy.)

Think for a minute about the wisest person you know. What is he or she like? Is she haughty? Is he boastful?

I can't think of anyone I'd consider wise who is also prideful. Can you?

Pride separates us from God, but with humility comes wisdom.

Admit you don't have all of the answers. Fess up when you are wrong. "Don't think of yourself more highly than you ought" (Rom. 12:3).

Do these things and see if wisdom doesn't follow.

  1. Wisdom comes right with the knowing of God and His nature. It comes step by step and right with your desire to change your heart. God always helps to change you if you let Him do that. Look in here online proofreading jobs with proof-reading.services
